Commercial Solutions and the Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association
The Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association (CVFSA) and Commercial Solutions are proud to announce the launch of the "CVFSA Lifetime Achievement Award".
This program, sponsored by Commercial Solutions Inc., in partnership with the Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association is to recognize a volunteer firefighter or fire officer that has demonstrated remarkable achievements in the fire service and community and who has exemplified outstanding performance.
The selection of the CVFSA Lifetime Achievement Award recipient will be determined through a Canada wide nomination process. Nominations must be received by the Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association through the online form or by written submission. Nominations will be accepted from any member of the Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association (in good standing). To be considered for the award, nominees should meet the following requirements:
- Nominee has made a major contribution or has achieved significant accomplishments in the volunteer fire service on a local, municipal, provincial, and/or national level. (more than local community)
- Nominee has demonstrated superior dedication to the volunteer fire service and has served as a volunteer firefighter for at least twenty (20) years.
- Nominee has been active in their provincial firefighters association.
- Nominee has demonstrated community impact through the fire service or other volunteer activities.
Nomination forms and requirements can be found on at www.cvfsa.ca. The individual nominated is not required to be a member of the CVFSA. Anyone wishing to make a nomination who is not currently a CVFSA member need only download a membership form from www.cvfsa.com, become a member and then nominate.
Only one award will be presented each year to one volunteer firefighter or fire officer.
Nominations for the 2010 year are now OPEN and will be accepted till March 6th 2010.
