ISO 9001: 2008 Certified to Serve our Customers Better

Commercial Solutions has an ongoing commitment to quality assurance in our products and services. Our internal procedures follow ISO international quality management standards and we are proud to say that all are ISO certified. (Click here for branch directory.)

ISO 9001:2008 certification shows that we follow consistent, documented business procedures. Our goal is to use the ISO quality management system to provide systematic support for our staff and the best possible service to our customers.

Our quality policy statement is as follows:

Free and Secure Trade (FAST)

Customs Self Assessment and Partners in Protection certification are requirements for the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) Program, which establishes a fast track process for clearing goods at the Canada/U.S. border for participating members.  In the case of a major security alert, imports and exports belonging to FAST certified companies would be allowed to cross the border more quickly than those belonging to other organizations. 

In order to fulfill the requirements for the FAST program, Commercial Solutions has implemented stringent quality assurance and security policies in cooperation with the Canadian Border Services Agency.

Customs Self-Assessment (CSA)

Commercial Solutions is one of the first distribution companies in Canada to receive certification for Customs Self Assessment (CSA) by the Canadian Border Services Agency. The program streamlines the clearance, accounting and payment processes for all imported goods, reducing the cost of customs compliance and speeding up the customs clearance process.

Partners in Protection (PIP)

We are actively working toward Partners in Protection certification.  Partners in Protection is a voluntary partnership with the Canadian Border Services Agency.  The aim of the program is to strengthen security processes within participating organizations, with the ultimate goal of enhancing border security and increasing customs compliance.

Very few Canadian companies are participating in these crucial border security initiatives.  Commercial Solutions is proud of its successful partnership with CBSA.  We will continue to work toward PIP and FAST certification in order to speed up our customs and border clearance procedures.  Our goal is to provide quick, secure, efficient service to our customers.
