The Nuts and Bolts of the Business
When Jim Pierre heard from a friend that Commercial Solutions was expanding its stock of fasteners, he jumped at the opportunity. "I had been with a company that sold nuts and bolts for just under 20 years," JP says, "It was time for a change."
At the southside Edmonton branch of Commercial Solutions, JP is "the fastener guy." As an in-house inside sales expert, he’s on hand to give advice to customers - and other salespeople – who have technical questions about nuts, bolts and fasteners.
"Our products range from basics to extreme specialty items. What I like about fasteners is that they’re everywhere – there’s not an object you look at that doesn’t have some kind of nut, bolt or screw. No one thinks about them and no one sees them, but they’re crucial."
It’s the basic nuts and bolts that are the meat and potatoes of the product line. JP is pleased that he has the expertise – and the years of experience – to provide really high quality customer service.
"You do what it takes to get the customer," he says. "You treat the customer like gold."
